Reducing Body Fat The Safe Way

Almost everyone knows someone who is trying to lose weight.  Our society inundates us with images of models who have the perfect physique and beauty is synonymous with being thin.  Body fat is not considered attractive, and cellulite must be eliminated at all costs, according to many people.  While I personally take a more mid-line approach, I do agree that most Americans should try to reduce body fat.   While it is nice to have a good physical appearance, it is even more important to be healthy and try to reduce the risk of health problems that come from being overweight.

So how does one reduce body fat?  Well, I’ve comprised a list of tips that I are very important if you want your efforts to be met with success.  You will learn how you can eat to reduce body fat, while at the same time becoming healthier.

Learn how to work with your cravings.
This does not mean that you give in every time you want a candy bar, but you should also not try to deprive yourself of every severe craving that you get.  Find a balance; moderation is the key in all things.

Water is your best friend.
Drinking water helps you to flush toxins out of your body and helps your liver to break down fat more effectively.  It also keeps you hydrated, and if you drink a glass before a meal can help prevent you from over eating.  By switching from sodas to water, you are also reducing the calories and sugar you intake.

Spice it up.
If you try to eat the same old low fat meals all the time, you will end up getting very bored, lose motivation, and quit.  Trust me, it happens to the best of us.  However, there are many great low-fat, high protein options to choose from in Indian, Asian, Mexican, and Italian dishes.

There are many ways you can reduce your body fat through the foods you eat.  Even by setting small goals, such as reducing your caloric intake by only 15% to start can end up with big results.  Don’t lose your motivation!
